HELP SAVE CINDY’S PROMISE – DONATIONS NEEDED – PLEASE SHARE

This is a post I did not want to write. I honestly have tried every other option before having to resort to this. But the reality is - we really desperately need your help. I’ve discussed with my team and we have thought long and hard but tonight we just have to put it on the line.

Our bank balance is extremely low, the lowest it has been in years to be honest and it’s at the point that we have to find a way to save CP to be able to continue our life saving work. It pains my heart. We’ve been battling away hard for a long time. We have held auctions and raffles and gear sales to keep us above water.

We’ve rescued and rehabilitated so many precious horses. I’m proud of what we have achieved together and I have big plans for the future. I really do. However, I need to let you know how grim things are. Our most recent fundraisers over the past 6 months have only just barely kept us going. I know things are tough out there. We are seeing it too. High feed costs, high transport costs, you name it. We feel the pain.

As I write to you, I’ve been thinking about the current very fortunate 21 horses in our care. Many of whom will never leave CP because of their own individual issues and needs.

But also - Today marks 1 year since little mumma "Ruby" arrived at CP with her 8 week old baby "Rosie" and her little "Cinnamon" bun cooking in the oven. Ruby sadly has a history of being chained up and teased by children so was understandably nervous and protective of her precious baby.

She has had a very big journey adjusting to her new environment, raising her young filly Rosie and delivering her final baby Cinnamon in Nov 2022 which we came close to losing. Ruby is still slowly working through her fears around children but has definitely gained more trust with all our volunteers and will gladly accept any babysitting offers.

Rosie has a congenital condition called "Wry nose", (just like Twister) so will need more regular dentist checks. She has matured into the sweetest little pony who absolutely LOVES cuddles and bum scratches and has a bright future ahead when she soon finds her forever home. She is the most amazing big sister to Cinnamon.

These 2 sisters share a trully incredible bond! And as for Cinnamon.... She has certainly inherited some of her mummas SASS! This VERY cheeky little baby is still learning her manners but is absolutely adorable! Our poor little Cinnamon bun had a rough start to life needing 24hr care in hospital for a week. But you wouldn't know now....she is a big ball of energy!!!

This is the journey as an organisation we are happy to be on to make sure these three horses have the best life whilst in our care and for the rest of their lives. Total love and compassion for our horses. Unconditional love always.

Tonight, we need to raise at least $15,000 to get us back on level footing and help save Cindy’s Promise.

This is our SOS. We are putting it all on the line tonight. Just $5 from each and every one of you would help us so much. It’s the cost of your next cup of coffee but one that will help us save more horses.
